This magnificent photographic study of Jim Hall’s Chaparral race cars was first published in 1997 and rapidly became something of a collectors item. Each car type from the original Chaparral 2 to the 2K have been taken from Jim Hall’s museum and are photographed in close up detail in the glorious Texas sunshine. There are also plenty of period photos as the author looks back at the cars in competition. This book is a Japanese production and the brief text is in both English and Japanese. The words are almost superfluous anyway, this is all about the excellent photos. If you missed out last time, don’t make the same mistake again!
